Arrow NEWS: 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible [Spied]

The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible may be delayed by a two years — making it a 2011 model year car instead of 2010 like its fixed-roof counterpart — but development of the drop top is ongoing. Our spy photographers managed to catch up with the Camaro Convertible earlier this week in Australia. [...]

Production delayed from December 2009, until February 2011....Really? Please tell me that's a typo and they mean production begins February 2010...It might as well be a 2012 model if that's true....Bummer, that basically seals the deal that I'm going to get the coupe, no way I can wait that long, especially if the world ends in 2012.

Add Inferno Orange and some stripes and you're looking at MY next Camaro.

Also paging 1986, please come and retrieve your Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp. I'd rather keep the trailer hitch than that surface mount fixture.

Still, this car is what the deadly sin Lust was intended for.

You beat me to it. Since the world is ending in 2012, I want as much Camaro time as possible. Can't wait.

I think that is a typ. It was supposed to be released originally in Dec. 09.
February 2010 would make it a 2011 model. They are not going to wait 2 years for the convertible to be released. It was supposed to be released 1 year after the coupe. Maybe the Fbod Father can shed some light on this.

Any chance GM might sneak a firebird/trans am, between this 2 year delay?

I think that's what you'll see on the production version. It'll be integrated into a convertible specific spoiler that's yet to come. It's a small detail, but getting it wrong can spoil the deal.
