NEWS: HPP teases Firebird, Camaro customs for SEMA
Filed under: Aftermarket, SEMA Show, Coupe, Chevrolet, GM, Pontiac, Design/Style
We've seen companies attempt to turn the Chevrolet Camaro into a Pontiac Trans-Am, but the results are often mixed at best. Heide Performance Products, a customizing company out of Madison Heights, MI, is looking to change that. Is it successful? Well, let's just say we're looking forward to seeing HPP's pointy-nosed '69 Trans Am knock-off with our own eyes at SEMA next week.
The company has detailed the build process on its Facebook page, and there's also a second Camaro with T-Tops the company is bringing to SEMA. Finally, we have modern versions of the Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird based off the current Challenger. See for yourself in our high-res photo gallery below.

Of all the conversions, this is by far the best one yet.
In terms of quality, design, & details.
I cannnot believe that someone would be able to buy one of those. The price would have to be around 200K. Look at everything they did to the car. This is not a Camaro with a new front bumper cover. This car is tweaked!
And I LOVE their take on the classic Pontiac Rallye II wheels. Awesome!
And I also liked the yellow Camaro with the covered headlights and Rally wheels. If this car had been included in the SEMA Camaro poll thread, I would've voted for it.

Fail...but those are some SEXY models!
the back end looks really bad. i dont like the fake chrome bumper. front nose looks waaaayyy too pointy. no one can seem to get a good version of the firebird done. maybe its a good thing pontiac is gone. i would have hated to see what they would have actually come up with for this body style.

I am curious what Pontiac would have put out as the body design.
