NEWS: HPP teases Firebird, Camaro customs for SEMA

Oh, and don't call me a hater. I still own two IROC-Zs, have owned a '68 Camaro, and still own IROC-Z.org.

Holy tight black mini-skirt batman! How are you guys even able to focus on the car? In any case, I actually like it..reminds me of the early '70's trans am's (before they went all smokey and the bandit on them), even though the body style is closer to the late 60's, obviously.

Meh, it just seems off. It is not horrible, but it does not seem right. I agree that people need to let it go. The only people who can build a truly sexy Firebird we the designers at Pontiac. Since they are gone, so is the dream. I still think my Firehawk is one of the sexiest cars EVER created (on the outside anyway).

You need to go to Autoblog and download the LARGE versions of those pictures. The back-end looks just fine. The front-end looks very well engineered. Did you notice the old-school firebird rear fender marker lights? This is a show-car modern interpretation of the 1969 Trans Am and I think they did a very good job in that respect. I'd bee-line to check it out if I was going to SEMA and I'm sure it'll generate the interest that they want.

Wanted to report I was driving along W. I-70 Sat. between Denver and Silverthorne some 75 miles away and passed by 2 2010 Trans-Am's RED and SILVER. I must say What a gorgeous pair of cars. It was difficult keeping up with them at 85 through the mountains.

NEWS: SEMA 2010: HPP Trans-Am and Camaro aren't exactly the prettiest cars in Las Veg
Filed under: Aftermarket, SEMA Show, Coupe, Chevrolet
Last week, we showed you what happens when Madison Heights, Michigan-based Heide Performance Products tries to pay homage to the Pontiac Trans Am using the current Chevrolet Camaro as groundwork. The Trans Am, specifically, isn't what we'd call pretty, but it's nothing short of SEMA-spec and we're willing to bet that there are dozens of other Camaro-to-Trans-Am conversion kits lurking elsewhere on the show floor.
The yellow HPP Camaro, on the other hand, is decidedly more sedate, though still not really something we'd want to bring home. Check out both of these one-offs in our gallery of live images, below.

I kinda wish the shoe was on the other foot with Chevrolet losing the Camaro and Pontiac getting the Firebird. I absolutely love that Pontiac had the ***** to bring the Monaro over. I am in love with mine. As far as I'm concerned, you Camaro guys can stuff it. I feel Poncho love.
They have a name for that, Colin.
It's Necrophillia.
In some states, that's illegal.
