I have no idea what the little round thing is, but I don't think it has anything to do with a dry sump.

It may not, but I seem to remember that was what tipped people off about the ls7. Dunno. Anyone have any knowledge they can shed some light on about this?

No, that is no indication of a dry sump system. The Z06's dry sump is all contained under the hood of the car. Could be a windspeed indicator to test air flow under the car or through the grill, maybe to test air flow into some sort of brake cooling duct?

These 2007 model Luminas have been on the roads of Dubai for the past 8 months at least. They're selling pretty well here, and they're fast. The SS is 6.0L 340hp. Faster than my Z
The Caprice which is the higher version of this also has a cool new shape.

Just curious, but how do we know it's a Camaro mule? Is the Lumina SS the only platform that can accomodate all the new Camaro underpinnings?

How do we know they're not playing around with an upcoming GTO, a Lumina/Monte Carlo coupe or something?

The Camaro will have a shorter wheel base, as well as an overall smaller length then any other RWD car currently in production from GM. A GTO will have a wheel base the same size as the Commodore/Lumina.
That, and the fact that Holden has had major control over the chassis tuning, it would only seem right that we would see a Lumina.

And there wont be a Monte Carlo made, and a RWD sedan will be bigger, and not 2dr.

It's an ambient air temp sensor.
