Next years models....

Does anyone have any idea if there will be upgrades for the 2011 model (besides the vert)?? I am on the teeter/totter of ordering, but I just want to get an idea if something better will be here next year to replace the current LS3? Since this has been the trend Camaro has followed for so long....

If I am missing something, over look me....I am trying to get caught up.

Probably another price increase across the board by $1k or so.

Most new models have some upgrades in the second or third year.

e.g. Cobalt SS HP increased in it's third year ('08)

I'm hoping for a bump in HP and that Chevy will get a clue about the interior.
I may not be able to wait, however. I really want one and it's very very good as is.

If the current version is satisfactory, get it. It will always be what it is, even if something better comes along. Doesn't take away from what you already have.

I'm hesitant to get any first year vehicles. Give them a year or two to work the bugs out.

unless you really want HUD, or a vert, there's no reason to wait till next year.

Well I have to wait at least one year to get mine. I have a trip scheduled next year for Iraq. No need to get one now to only drive it a month or two before I leave. I'll get a 2011my off the lot or order a 2012 when I get back.

On a side note, I haven't seen pricing for the gauge cluster as a dealer installed option. Did that change?

Unless you want a Blue SS... I'm hoping they get the message about that one.

Any insight whether or not white leather will be offered (I had just assumed since it was in the vert concept...)?

I don't think you'll see a white interior in the production version. They learned from the '97-'99's.

I very much want the HUD feature. I probably won't wait until 2011 for it because my daily driver -- 2004 Monte -- is getting close to 100k miles. Still runs great, but it is just about time.

I am not a convertible guy -- although I do like T-tops -- so that isn't an issue for me.

I will order a 2010 w/o the HUD. I will wait to order. I don't want/need a low serial number so I have time to wait. Besides, I want to see the colors on the cars before I order.

If you wait for second year for the improvements that GM will be making you might as well wait for the 3rd year for the improvements they make over the second year and then you might as well wait for the 4th year....

Do you see where I'm going?

Like all the bugs the Malibu had to have worked out in it's first year.

BTW Malibu is ranked number for defects per 100 vehicles at 88 reported issues. That happens to be in it's first year of production and ahead of the GREATEST AUTOMOBILE ON THE PLANET EARTH and NEAR UNIVERSE the Toyota Camry which is in it's second year.
