No Camaro Mules at Woodward???

I went up to Woodward for the sole hope of seeing GM driving some new Camaros up and down the road. I got nothing. I saw about 9 or 10 new Challengers, rediculous amounts of Mustangs, but Chevy couldn't get one of their guys to drive a test car around?? Free publicity isn't good enough? I'm very disappointed right now /rant

I for one am glad I got to walk up to a pre-prod RS car today at Woodward. They had one parked at the Coney Island near 14 and Woodward. I got some pix but am too busy with visitors in town to upload them. Maybe in a few days. There was a little crowd around the car and a few folks just standing there staring at it like they were hypnotized

I had a chance to be down there Friday afternoon and was dismayed to find that the Chevy display (including the red RS Camaro), despite being set-up and with security in-place, was not due to open until 10am the next morning. I think this was a bad move for Chevy - people were there, the place was active and was only getting more active as the night went on - why wait? Granted, Woodward isn't necessarily the best venue to sell a Camaro that is being marketed to the masses, but they could've done more.

Even if the red RS was the only one there, let people check it out on Friday afternoon. And if it were me, I'd had one car in every production color DRIVING down Woodward all day long. You don't have to stop and let people check it out first hand - they could even have been IVER's that were repainted - but let people see what you've been talking about at least.

Damn, missed it because we didn't go down that far. It was my first time there and I went with some Mustang guys who don't usually go far from their alley so they had no idea where else stuff would be.

It was really great to see the Production model in person I know pictures are a thousand words but seeing it in person is a million words.

Cool

The car was completely mobbed the whole day at Woodward. I took another pic as well:

Does look good! I was surprised GM didn't have a few of them cruising around just for attention. I saw at least 2 ZR-1's and 20+ Challengers in SRT8 and R/T trim, smart move by Dodge to get those out before the dream cruise.
