Nice spin BTW, you oughtta think about politics after your stint at GM.

Scott in Politics NOW thats a Laugh, he would tell everyone to get the hell out & a few other choice words to go along with that.

Sat beside him a few years back during an election & man that man got heated just watching the elections.

add $6K or so for a 'vert and $2,000 to import it to Canada and I'll land it at about the same price I paid for the '99.

Could you get them at dealers other than Berger?

Yes, all 83 of them. What was the MSRP of those?

Yes, all 100-ish of them. Available only at Carl Black Pontiac.

Yuppers.. Lot of bolt-ons there - not much other info though. How many were made?

Ummm....no, haven't, though apparently they are associated with Tom Henry Chevrolet. Not sure what a "racing camaro" has to do with a factory 03/04 Cobra though.

Ah yes, back to GMMG. A very nicely done package, for sure. $86k is a bit of a steep price to pay (base version), and certainly not real comparible to an 03 Cobra, but then again, I'm sure it outperforms it by a wide margin (ok, I'm not sure it does, but that's probably a good bet). There were ~35 of them, correct?

Even if the person you were answering did or did not, none of those cars is comparible to a factory 03 Cobra - given that they are all modified off the assembly line - much like a Steeda or Roush Mustang (though not nearly as available).

FWIW...I don't agree with "tail between your legs" characterization the poster made...though I'm pretty sure his post was far from serious.

welllllllllllllllllllllll...............there were a "few" of them at 600 horsepower...............................

use our address, i'm sure they wouldn't doubt it for one sec that we added another one to the fleet.

That's fine, but most stock LS1 F-bodies ran in the low- and mid-13's. Once in a while a hot one rolled out of the factory, and some guys were lucky to get them.

On average, an '03-04 Cobra is about a half a second and 3-4 mph faster than an LS1 F-body. Don't kid yourself.

Don't get me wrong, either -- I wouldn't trade my Z28 for any Mustang.

Hey Bob... Long time

You forgot to mention what most people already knew... Bergers were over priced and under powered. They were a joke to most people on the street. Most of those "special" editions other than the ones that outpriced Z06's (and general still didnt compete with a Z06) were a joke.

And the 03/04 Cobras do not get enough credit within the GM stable of guys. Having worked at Livernois Motorsports for some time I can say thats the wrong way to look at them.

That's why I said... "SS"...and not "average LS1", I wasn't talking a T/A with an Automatic transmission, heck I used to take a bunch of them out on the street with my IROC...
"SS"'s were quick, no kidding needed.

An LS1 SS and an LS1 Z28 run about the same. Evan Smith ran his 12.7 in a Z28.

My bone stock Y2K Z28 6 speed ran 12.96 @ 109 MPH on the cheepest B F Goodrich tires that were available on a Z28...it had a 118 MPH speed limiter ... when it was discovered it was promptly edited out of the PCM along with some other unnessary programs....as to mustangs they are like potato chips everybody eats them...
