Re: Now it is our turn to drive the Camaro Concept!

Steal the seats and see if they can be bolted into a 4th gen .

For me the seats are ranked clearly

4th gen < C5 < GTO < C6 (though I only sat in the C6 once)

I'd hope the Concept seats are as comfortable as they look, cause itd be a shame to have them look great but feel terrible. Is there anything more you could find about them and what they are based off of and dimensions? I'm curious to see what the base was off of (I'd guess a GTO frame) and go from there... Cause to me good seats are the #1 ergonomics problem in the new Camaro, even aside from sitting position.

While that sounds nice, Lexus just added high-capacity storage to the factory radio in the new LS. I think it's going to be a while before you see features like that in a Chevrolet.
The Chevrolet Uplander Minivan has "Phat Noise" a built in 40 GB HD for music/media storage. Also by the time the Camaro reaches the market the aux audio imput found on GM's most recent corprate radios will be across the line, go check out a HHR or GMT900 Tahoe/Suburban LT2 or higher to see for yourself.

Oh yeah I will finally get to see it in September, I am going to BG baby!

Guys, a lot of things that you are asking about will most definitely be noted and covered, but I have to remind everyone that many of those same things will probably not be the same on a production version.

What the hell, since we will be doing this as the concept that it is let's explore anyway. I have a 1gig memory stick, so I will take TONS of pictures as well as video.

I'd like to be able to see the hood from the drivers seat like you can in older cars. Take note of that.

I also would like to hear what it feels like behind the wheel. The concept has alot of bulk and a substantial cowl. Does it feel sporty or does it feel like a bulky sedan?

+1 on that one. Can you see the hood from the driver's seat ala 3rd gen or can't see it at all ala 4th gen.

BTW, you guys suck for getting to do this.

Enjoy!!

Re: Now it is our turn to drive the Camaro Concept!

Granted they may be changed on the production model, but are the mirros funcitonal? They just seem really small in the pictures I have seen.

Hump in the floorboard?

Can you see all of the guages with the wheel tilted down? I have to go a click or two up on my 4th gen.

I am assuming it will be an auto, but if its a stick tell us about everything. Clutch, stick, etc.

How heavy are the doors?
