NY Auto Show Pics!

I went to the NY Auto Show today, and had a great time. There were 3 Camaros there, not counting Bumblebee. A silver automatic SS/RS, a red manual SS, and an Inferno Orange LT/RS were on display. There were huge crowds around all of them. There was a Corvette ZR1 near the red SS and orange LT/RS, with 10-15 people around it. The two Camaros had 70+ people around them. The silver SS/RS was right near the Scion display, and more people were paying attention to the Camaro than the entire Scion display.

I saw Scott as I was about to take some pictures of the silver SS. I told him how excited I was about the car, and how great it was that it's finally here. We talked for a couple minutes, but he had to attend to the Bumblebee display, so I began taking pictures of the silver SS/RS:

The word "excited" doesn't begin to describe what I was feeling as I sat in the car for the first time. It's hard to explain. You feel like you've been away for a while, and you sit in the driver's seat, and you're finally home. We've been waiting for this car for so long, and it's awesome to experience the final result. I can't wait to get my own.

Bumblebee, as both car and Transformer:

I got my picture taken with Bumblebee, which I'll be able to download tomorrow.

Pictures don't do Inferno Orange justice. In pictures, it looks kind of reddish. It's actually more like a slightly darker Hugger Orange. It's a pretty cool color.

Me sitting in the red manual SS. The shifter feels solid. A lot of reviews have said it has a heavy feel to it, that you need to muscle it into place. I disagree. It had a bit of weight to it, but it wasn't hard to shift at all. The seats are comfortable, but they didn't feel supportive enough. I'll probably end up replacing my seats with aftermarket ones.

I took pictures of other cars as well, but I didn't want to post them in this forum. If you want to see them, here's the link:

Comfortable. I was kind of surprised - the cloth didn't feel as cheap as I thought it would. I'd still prefer leather seats, but the cloth ones aren't bad. The seats could use more lateral support. The side bolsters aren't big enough. I got to try out the power seats, since the car was equipped with them. They move at an acceptable speed, and it didn't take very long to find a comfortable driving position.

I sat in rs at the philly car show, I agree with the cloth statement as well. Definatly didn't feel cheap, It feels tighter but surprisingly more supportive than the 4th gen cloth style seats.

I just got home myself... fyi... this guy by Bumblebee is Jeff Yachnin, former C4 project mgr, F-Car project manager (96-97), and SLP Engineering Chief Engineer. Anyone going, be sure to say hello!

Agreed, pictures don't do Inferno Orange justice. This color must be seen in person. Seeing this in person at the show made up my mind, simply awesome! In terms of the car itself, it was great to finally see and sit in it. Car looks great and I think alot of people will be happy! Loads of people around the car. Before I left the show I had to stop by the Camaro to admire it again! Thank you Chevy for bringing our old friend back!!!
