I went into my dealer yesterday to see if they had any info. on when they would be able to order, if there were allocation limits, any info. on options, etc. I was told they had nothing official, but they were taking $5,000 deposits and if I didn't pay up now I would have to pay over MSRP when the cars came out.
I told the guy I would never pay over MSRP and he told me Chevy was only going to make a limited number of Camaros for a short time and I might not be able to get one at all if I waited. That's when my BS alarm started to sound.
I'm impressed that your dealer gave you a copy of this; good find. I wish my dealer was that user-friendly. (He may not contnue to be my dealer if his people keep giving me crap like that.)

On page 4 it says: CHMSL is LED and located on the package shelf under glass"

What does that mean?

I 99% sure it means Central High Mounted Stop Lamp. Or somthing very close to that... Aka your 3rd brake light.

I just noticed OnStar is standard. Does that mean there is no way out of the little shark fin antenna on the roof? I'd rather pass on that.

Center High Mounted Stop Light, and it's mounted behind the back seats up next to the glass, not integrated into the trunklid or spoiler like the 4th gen was.

First I've heard of the Boston Acoustics sound system. 9-speaker 245 watt system......I hope it sounds good.

You should start listening to the podcast. I'm pretty sure Jason brought that up two or three weeks ago.

I'm curious about the demographics of the new Camaro, so I thought the lead in was interesting:

Camaro will attract a very loyal customer base of passionate enthusiasts and look to target a new, more youthful customer. These new customers are very passionate drivers. They enjoy an exciting driving experience and like to impress and surprise others with with they drive.
So they were thinking of you guys all along , and the idea of a "youthful customer" IMO gets back more the original idea of the Camaro.

Now, I hope GM follows through and target markets the "ricer" set, because otherwise convertible sales might suffer from toupees being blown off
