I'm fairly savy at current audio tech, but I have to ask, what on earth is a seven-channel sub-woofer? That almost sounds like something they'd sell at this site http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=8. I guess maybe a seven-channel sub-woofer might be needed when making a burn-a$$ hot rod.

The PDF scans aren't doing it for me. Here is all is in living color:

Click the "Download photo..." link under each one for higher res.

OP, hope you don't mind that I edited your post so everyone new to the thread can see the color versions.

Remember, this is for salespeople only. In most cases, they care about the car for much different reasons than we do. For example...

Your go-go gadget boxing glove alarm should have went off. That is 100% wrong. Chevrolet wants to sell as many as they can because when dealers find a dandy excuse to mark it up (like a "limited number" line), GM doesn't get anything from that extra markup.

And they will only make them for one year, heard that one is going around too.

That might be partially true. Some dealerships will only be allocated one but that doesn't mean the dealership he next town over won't get 25. Of course, the "limited" line is crap as mentioned above.

Regardless, everyone needs to go with the dealership that is willing to treat you right, ask for a fair price and not feed you a line of BS to get you to feel okay about being raked over the coals.

I am going to my Chevy Dealer Guy - I have to get one of these. Did they hand them out like popcorn or is it one per dealer?

First, I have NEVER bought a car that I didn't change or make mods to the stock system; some new head units, some existing with speaker/amp mods. My 04 GTO still has the original Blaupunkt head unit but has had all the speakers replaced with Alpine tweeters and door/rear seat midrange, and Kicker CompVR subs in the rear deck (what fantastic speakers those are for bass from a pair of 8") and has (2) Alpine amps running everything. The stock stereo would have been fantastic for my grandparents, good for my folks...

That being said, and not having listened to the podcast, my guess is the Camaro will be pretty much at that level. Factory speakers, standard, Bose, BA, or whatever, have never been able to handle factory head unit upper volume without distortion- if the head unit was even sufficient to power them. If you're one of those people that see no need to drown out your wife, or feel like you were back in high school when "Pour Some Sugar On Me" is the song your radio station just started playing, then it's probably ok. For me, radio delete would be a fantastic option.

Now, I hope GM follows through and target markets the "ricer" set, because otherwise convertible sales might suffer from toupees being blown off
Ha!! Hope they don't card me. They may not sell me one because I'm too old. I'll be 60 when I order my convertible.

The stereo, the one thing that DOES stay stock in my vehicles. Factory equipment is adequate for me. Actually, when the stock radio went out on my buddies El Camino SS, we threw in the head unit from a newer GM vehicle.

If anything what you're looking at will probably be the SAP aftermarket kit; like was offered for my GTO. I actually ended up keeping the OEM wing on. See below. Notice any similarities?

Im confused by the optional stripes. It says white and cyber gray in parenthesis. Does that mean stripes are only available if you get those color camaros? Or does it mean that the only colors your stripes can be are white stripes or cyber gray stripes?
