By performance model, do you mean the regular V8 model or the top V8 model?

Chevy's current model scheme would make it a SS. That is the top of the line sport option right now is SS. The vette is different...at least for now...It is still up in the air what the new Uber Vette will be called (SS or Z06/R or Z07).
Back in the mid 90s it would have been Z28 because that was the scheme then (Z24, Z34...etc).

This poll is a fun exercise, but you have to wonder what actually might happen...

The 'lineup' should be fairly "Chevrolet traditional"....

Let's See...a base V6 is good...

Let's Think...a hi-po V6 would keep a performance version insurance / mileage friendly....but don't rule out an entry level V8...

Might have to Convert anyone who loves open air...if it's the only way to see the sky...

Seems Simple enough...afterall this is what Chevrolet wants their popular models to be....before anything else.....

And maybe after a short wait, I'll get the Z/28 I've always wanted...

( the ol' triple winkie )

Hmmm, an LS, LT, SS, and Z28? Why would there be an LS and no RS? Why bring back LT LOL?

Oh, and Z28 owns SS now and always.

You know, the RS was always an "add-on" to about any model above the base level....and Chevrolet has an LT model in nearly every model line....
