I went to the local auto trader and there is a dodge dealer and a honda dealer seling at about 20,000. over msrp. Meanwhile my local small town chevy dealer has none. I am pissed about this. Thoughts. am I over reacting?

So your saying a Honda and Dodge dealership by you is selling Camaro's at $20,000 over MSRP?? Where are you located? What are they doing, buy em off Ebay and selling them?

Hardly any dealers have any in stock right now. Some greedy people are snatching them up when they can and charging exorbitant amounts of money for them.

Take a deep breath and wait them out. It will all calm down once production catches up with demand.

Whatever you do, REFUSE CAMARO MARKUPS!

You are kidding, right? Where is this and what is the name of the dealership? That's just nuts.

I have seen a couple of non-GM dealers who appear to be buying these cars to generate traffic to their lots and of course try and get a big markup.

I am not only refusing dealer markups, I am refusing MSRP. I can wait till demand falls and get a better price. I like the car and will get one eventually but I will not pay MSRP or over. Some people can and will but I just can't.

Patience grasshopper patience.........

I have heard of at least one dealer (can't remember which one right now) who will put in your order today with a selling price of $700 over invoice.

There's a Ford dealer near me that has an LT with 140 miles on it. Yellow with black stripes, they want $33k for it.

If it was $700 over the dealer invoice than I am interested. I remember seeing that post too but I thought it was from a member who had a 30 year history with that dealer. You know I expect the dealer to make some money off the car. I sure for one don't want him to go out of business because I will need someone to service the car. I guess a reasonable profit is expected, but the markups now are getting out of control. They will come down but it just takes time.

Thanks for the info.

They went from stupid mark ups, to finding dealers who'll sell them for MSRP, now I have seen two dealers sell them with a $1500 rebate. Moral is to wait them out.
