Philadelphia Auto Show - Camaro Enthusiasts Event

From the Fbodfather:

"Dear Camaro Comrades and Firebird Friends......

General Motors would like to invite you to a very special event at the upcoming Philadelphia International Auto Show on Friday, February 2nd.

This is a very special morning with members of local and regional media -- Bon Jovi -- The Camaro Concept -- the 2008 Malibu -- Ed Wellburn, GM Vice President of Global Design -- not to mention a LOT of brand new cars and trucks that await your inspection.

Doors open to the media and THE FIRST 250 CAMARO AND FIREBIRD ENTHUSIASTS WHO SIGN UP AT www.camaro5.COM, at 9 am that morning.

You will enter the Pennsylvania Convention Hall thru the entrance at 11th and Arch Streets. We will have a table set up where you will be able to retrieve your credential to get you into the exhibit.

Chevrolet will serve a continental breakfast all morning within the Chevy Exhibit. You will be invited to a special Saturn Press conference that will feature a visit from Jon Bon Jovi -- at 10 am.

At 10:45 am, Mr. Ed Wellburn will give a presentation of the Chevrolet Camaro Concept car and the all-new Malibu that will challenge Camry and Accord when it arrives later this year -- and allow you to get a closer look at this incredible Camaro concept car that's captured the hearts and minds of millions.

Did we mention that this is a FREE event to you -- compliments of the Philadelphia International Auto Show and GM?

DRESS IS BUSINESS ATTIRE -- MEANING SUITS OR SPORT COATS -- OR DRESS SHIRT/TIE for men -- and appropriate attire for women.

We hope you can join us! Please -- you must register to enter the show. Simply log onto www.camaro5.com. The thread is located in the '5th Gen. Camaro General Discussion' Forum, titled Phila. Auto Show - Camaro Enthusiast Event - and sign up now!

Folks, I'm sure there's nothing Scott would rather do than host a reception at every show... but that's not going to happen.

It's not just a matter of if Scott wants to do it or not. He needs to get permission from the show organizers to allow "enthusiasts" to enter the show on press days or during "off show" hours. I know he's asked to do this at other venues. Unfortunately, many say no to his request.

NY aint that far from Philly. I'm taking the day off and heading down.

I would have enjoyed going. But my friend that's going to the Auto Show with me refuses to take Friday off. So I can only go on his days off (Sun and Mon).

He couldn't care less about cars... Unless it has Mercedes, BMW or Lexus (and to a lesser degree, Cadillac) in the title anyway... He's all about the 'name'.

EDIT- I signed up myself and a couple other people. But if we can't make it, I'll just remove us so someone else can go if there's over 250.
