Phillies Commemoritive Badging package?

Anyone heard of this as an option for the 2010 Camaro?

This one is being advertised with the "phillies commemorative badging package"??

Phillies Commemorative Edition 2010 Camaro

I had contacted Chapman Chevrolet in the Philadelphia area on 5/5/09 and they had quoted me the following:

Thank you for your interest in Chapman Chevrolet. I have the Camaro available and in stock. When could you stop in?? Below is the price quote you asked for. Thank you again...

$29460.00 MSRP
$1300.00 PHILLIES WORLD SERIES PKG

$30760.00 ADJ MSRP, PLUS TAX AND TAGS....

OPTIONS:

RALLY YELLOW
BLACK LEATHER
2LT
SUNROOF
6-SPEED AUTO TRANSMISSION

I didn't asked what the package included (because I wasn't interested in it), but it may be the same car or package.

Just a clever way for the dealer to package his markup?

im not a fan of the phillies. so i would have to pass. i have never heard of that being a special package though. other than the fact they won the world series, why the phillies?

1300 for a badge? thats pretty gay.

Agreed. Not a phillies fan either. I was just curious what that was all about and what other "special badging" is floating around out there.

Phillies Commemorative Pkg

Another dealer in South Jersey offering the package but didn't see what the "badging" looked like:

This link explains it a little more:

from what my brother has seen, it's just the yellow one listed above with some 08 world series champion decals on it. he'll see if he can get some pics off a friend.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if some of the dealers close to Philly got together and grabbed up a bunch of leftover World Series Champion stickers so they could come up with a creative markup. I am a Phillies fan but think Phillies badging would look crappy on anything but a Red or White car. Phils logos would just look so out of place on the yellow car in the ebay add.

What a strange option to offer on the new Camaro. Frankly, I'm a little bewildered.

and there's a Mets package too.

Chevy did Camaro "drive aways" at Citi Field, then at PNC the following week, for the respective local dealerships in the NYC, then Philly areas.

It's nothing more than an add on badge given to the dealers to take back to their shops.

There were some pics up on Tim's site from the Citi Field driveaway.

I know that World Series MVP Cole Hamels got a 2010 Camaro for winning the award.

I didn't know if Chevy actually made more commemorative editions.

They didn't have a picture of the actual badges, I can't find them.

Ask and you shall recieve. The pics are all of the same car, but the first one with the mascot is a screenshot from tv. The others are from my cheap digital:

Thats the only badging on the whole vehicle. The last two pictures are prior to the badge installation.

According to my salesman this is Hamels' actual car. Not a bad car to drive as my first fifth gen.
