What kind (brand/model) of camera did you use?

It was a Gateway. I am also in the entertaiment business and digital cameras we have used do funny things with fluorescent lights.

Digital doesn't record the actual color, just it's closest guess that it stores as a value to reproduce later and the wave lengths emitted by fluorescent lights cause odd colors sometimes.

For example, one of our actresses kept having a purple discoloration around her lips due to the way a fluorescent bulb was lighting her lip gloss.

I had a 1994 Z that was painte Horizon Grey Metallic. The color was HORRIBLE in person because it looked purple. Pics with film cameras, it looked purple. I took pics with a digital and it looks gunmetal grey and AWESOME, but it wasn't.

That was just digital with daylight even.

Back to fluorescents though, regardless of digital, if you've ever painted a car you know the difference in the way it looks under the shop's fluorescent lights and true daylight is HUGE!

So, whatever color the car actually is, it looked REALLY RED in person, kind of Orange in these pics and REALLY ORANGE on my phone's digital camera.

While that's true, you're overstating it. A decent camera can record 16.7 million different colors.

If the colors are off, then they've used low-quality CCDs or something like that. My Canon PowerShot has yet to misrepresent a color, regardless of the light source.

I wouldn't expect a Gateway camera (let alone a cell phone camera) to be very color-accurate. Just FYI.

The car was very red in person. I've never liked red cars for some reason... But because the concept that I saw was red, the one I buy will be as well. I can't wait!

I like how there isn't any panel gap in the slightest. I wonder if the production model will be similar in that regard, and if it will stand the test of time without gaps appearing.
