Pictures!

Re: Pictures!
A lot of you are saying the the nose should be more blunt. I've been thinking; what if you excentuated the lip spoiler on the bottom and made the front more laid back and sleek ( a la 3rd gen ). As odd as that sounds, I think it would make all the difference in the world... ™

Re: Pictures!
Well, maybe I'm going to be the lone dissenter here, but I have to say that I just don't care for this concept at all. When the new mustang came out, I got pretty hopeful that other detroit designers could actually pull off retro. The mustang was great. Then the challenger pics came out, and they were pretty cool too. Then..this? This is all chevy has to give us? They can keep it, far as I'm concerned. I think I'd own the mustang or challenger first (in that order), and I say that as a GM loyalist (never owned a non-GM vehicle) and as an owner of two camaros (71 RS and a 91 Z28) in addition to a forgotten pontiac..
I hope they do some serious refining on this concept before it comes to market, or once again the mustang is going to eat their lunch year after year. Back in the 90's, the mustang was better looking, worse performing, and more affordable. It looks like GM is poised for a repeat all over again - they are showing a better performing, worse looking, more expensive Camaro that the mustang will simply outsell year after year.
come on guys, you can do better.
frankly I think GM's design group is lost. Aveo, cobalt, HHR, SSR, GTO, even the solstice/sky pair missed the mark in my book (and they come pretty close, but what's up with that fugly silver bar around the windshield no matter what color the body is?). The new grand prix GTP's don't look anywhere near as good as the previous generation (97-03?) either. The only car that GM has executed well on is the new 'vette, it looks awesome.

Re: Pictures!
^^ This, to me, is like the Corvette in terms of styling. Just the absolute pinnacle. Sure, most of the harder work was done in the 60s but hey, it still looks good.
To me, the Mustang and the Challenger look waaaaay too retro be sold as 'new' vehicles (moreso the Challenger).
JMHO though.

Re: Pictures!
A buddy of mine was there on Tuesday (I have no idea how he got in on press day, he's certainly not a member of the press).
Here are his pics
#50-56 are of the Camaro.
