They will have VINs, but not production/sale cars. Most likely these are cars that are produced are just to get everyone on the line ready and knowledeged on building these cars, since they are new. They then will most likely either be crushed or maybe even driven around by GM people to test them and sold later on as GM demo units.

I know when the C6 first came out in late '04, there were some early cars that were built, before actual production started, that did have VINs and were driven and tested by GM people and then showed up a few months later after production began in dealers like Kerbeck for sale. Some of these might actually have real saleable VINs, but some might not that are in these pics...but like you said, some of them might actually be crushed and destroyed as well.

I dont see why that couldn't be a possibility. If you are going to crush them anyway, might as well do it for a good reason.

In short, these are the cars you DON'T want ending up in the general public.
There will be plentyful, quality Camaros without having to lap up (for lack of a better term) the garbage.

If any updates are called for, or newer validated parts are chosen in the interim, they are performed or installed prior to auction.
At least, this is how it has worked in the past.
