You know, I was watching that too, and was very disappointed with the report they did. Also on Good morning america or one of the morning shows, they did a 1.5 min. story on the car show too. They spent almost the entire story talking about minivans. I was thinking, what is this crap? I am glad I am not the only one who saw this.

What got me so riled was how many complete untruths they presented in the piece. They indicated that the Camaro was not approved and was a "maybe", for example.

I guess they will be in for a rude awakening in the near future then when the thing starts popping up in dealerships.

The problem is that they don't care. And, that they have the power to sway public opinion with bad reporting.

I don't get anything with the link. A page with some advertising at the bottom. I can read that it's supposed to be a poll of whether you'd buy an American car, but there's no poll. It just says 'Not a Scientific Survey' or some such.

EDIT- Nevermind. Of course RIGHT after I typed this I tried again and it worked.

Is ABC going to do anything with these results? Put it into an upcoming article or news segment?

I don't watch CNN, ABC, NBC or CBS anymore because they have managed to promote diversity in the workplace, but the only diversity they have managed to achieve is the color of skin. A news organization should have a diversity of thinking and backgrounds, but instead they have an army of people that think the same. And for the most part, they can't write or report the news objectively because their warped little liberal minds are closed to any other logical opinion.

Example of a conversation at CBS
"Hey, what do you think about global warming, Chuck?" "Well I think global warming is mostly caused by americans and their unnecessary muscle cars and Hummers consuming too much fuel, Tom." "Alright Chuck! I agree, and so does everyone else in this newsroom because America is responsible for everything bad that happens in the world. We don't need to worry about other developing countries that pollute far much more into the atmosphere because that is also America's fault. We have everything figured out about the earth based upon a few years of data. Nevermind that there have been a few ice ages long before humans were around and arrogant enough to think that they can control the planet and the way it functions. "

Blood for Oil; Bush isn't intelligent; SUVs are causing global warming; killing unborn babies is ok but killing rapists, serial killers and pedophiles isn't. If any of you have read even some of the comments posted at leftlanenews.com on the Camaro, you would see how screwed up and closed minded people are becoming and it doesn't help that 90% of all media outlets would identify themselves as liberal and 95% of college professors that teach journalism would identify themselves as liberal. But hey, I'm sure that bias doesn't affect teaching or reporting at all!

Now I have to acknowledge that I believe in more philosophies coming from the right than the left, because both have some stupid, non-pragmatic philosophies. But throw the libertarians a friggin' bone here and have some diversity of thought.

So you end up with a story like this from ABC. A Camaro convertable is apparently for a mid-life crisis. Heaven forbid I'm turning 28 and would like to buy one. I think that a lot of other people in their 20's would like one too. It is "likely" to come into production. No, retard, it will come into production because it is one of the most hyped gm cars ever. Perhaps the "sparkle" of the camaro isn't enough for this reporter from ABC. There needs to be more, otherwise the American Car Industry will be lost forever. So let's go check out this cool minivan that you can play board games in and this stupid little crapbox that will get crushed upon any vehicle hitting it.

Sorry about my rant, it feels good to get it out of my system. Keeps me from going insane. Suprisingly, I'm usually quite calm, but every now and again the whistle starts to blow on the teakettle.

Is this the news that said the domestic automakers needed at least 3 homeruns to get their image back or something like that? That entire news feature pissed me off. I didn't agree with anything the reporter was saying. It was pissing me off that they were referring to the American public's opinion, yet as part of that public, I whole-heartily disagreed with what they were saying.
