Pre-Pro Interior Cleaned Up

Just because everyone is going off the deep end again about how aweful the interior looks, I decided to clean up the pic a little.

As you can see, it looks much better.

Now, I still have some problems with the design elements, but at least it looks much more "liveable"

You did a nice job, but sorry, the overall theme just doesn't do it for me.

Good job. I love it, it's like nothing else out there, but in a good way, but as I said before, it's got the wrong shifter!

Well, it is a little similar to the Challenger concept interior:

haha, it is just that the Challenger concept came first and the pre-pro interior Camaro pics are closer to the Chally than the Camaro conecpt was. And by " a little similar" -- I mean, similar shape of the lower center "stack", placement of the vents, dashboard curves out at the bottom, similar three spoke steering wheel, and of course similar coloring.

Not strikingly similar, of course, but not "I have never seen anything like it" either. That is all I was trying to say.

The challenger concept was out first? Dang, I am getting old, my memory sucks

*Other than the funny slant on the center console the Challenger concept interior looks great too.

Just trying to clean it up a bit more to see if I can get to a point where I really like it a lot...

Now, I am not saying this is meant to be the final design, but I do think that some very slight tweaks make a huge impression and my faith in the final interior is even stronger.

(on a side note, I think I see an autobot in the center stack -- vents = eyes, etc. hehe)

Awesome work! you pulled exactly what I was envisioning out of my head! That interior is Killer, no doubt about it. I think we need to start a list of ppl that said they hated it and wouldnt buy one because it was "retro" and bla bla bla. I know theres atleast a few ppl that would love to say SEE I TOLD YOU!

Much better. The only thing that seems off to me is the center where the radio is and controls. For some reason the buldge and roundness just doesn't seem to flow right. Kind of reminds me of a monkey face. I like the concept of the whole thing and understand it is not the final deal, but I really think it needs some work in that area. The outside of the car is more of a chiseled hard line. I think that if that was incorperated into the interior design, it would feel like more like a matched theme. Looking at the speedo/tach area it comes out right at you and makes a statement. The center pod just doesn't match that feel. on another note, the controls look to be trying to do to much and be more modern. I would think the everyday driver would have a tough time navigaiting the controls. Simple buttons and ***** make life much easier. Case in point, I have a 2006 lincoln navigator. It has a simple touch screen and voice command. Very easy to use. Cliamate controls are push button and simple to see, use and understand. This helps in daily driving, stuck in traffic and keeping your eyes on the road. Keep it simple and don't over engineer it with a "look at what i designed" mentallity. I think that the exterior looks of the car are going to be embraced by the masses. I would hate to see reviews in the mags saying, exterior first class however the interior needs improvement. It would feel to me like you were taking bad about my best friend.
