you get a mechanic who "overlooks" that little detail on a car he likes. i.e. Camaro/Corvette, etc.

I get on my knees every day and thank God that Florida does not require a front plate.

In NJ you don't have to get a new car inspected for 4 years. After that it's every 2.

It USED to be every year, but that changed a few years ago.

I, too, won't be allowing a plate to be added to my new Camaro. I drove my 2000 S10 Xtreme for 2 years without a front plate and never once had a cop say anything about it. Even when they pulled me over for something else. lol

My '02 Camaro only had the plate on the front because they'd already drilled the holes and placed the holder on it before I purchased it. I figured 2 holes would be worse than a plate...

we don't like 'em any more than you do --

The worst just may be Corvette -- the license plate holder looks like someone caught a toaster right square in the front bumper!

I have been pulled over in my 95 Bird cause I do not have the front plate on. The cop was going to write me up when I asked the office where his was? Normally in MN the officers do not have plates on their car. Usually just a plaque that states where they are from. I polietly mentioned to him that his didn't have one and I believe it is the law in the state that all motor vehicles regardless of what department they are from need one. Needless to say he agreed and ever since I have never been bothered.
It also helps to have neighbor's who are my local city police officers that know my car and we and I never have a problem. It is the county sherrif and state troopers that harass me.

Yea here in Georgia there are no emissions or vehicle inspections and thank GOD we don't have to have front license plates.

However I have found that only the state patrol tends to right people up for plate issues. Most local cops will just mention it and then get back to writing you a ticket for passing 3 school busses in a school zone while its raining.

Point being, plates are the least of cops worries
