There's no need to test the car in every possible color. The mechanics, quality, and body fitments (both interior and exterior) is what is tested in a CTF car. No need to make a CTF in every color.

No one was allowed to take a picture of the car's vin, but I can tell you that I heard from a good source that the car is most definately a costumer car.

I was just saying that CTF cars have window stickers. I agree with you that they're probably not doing a bunch of CGM CTF cars (although if they are still building CTF cars, I'm sure some of them will be CGM now).

agreed.
they might still build CTF cars with CGM now.
But for sure, this is a costumer car.

CTF builds are done. Purpose of CTF is to accumulate real world miles PRIOR to the ship to commerce date.

Color would not be cause for CTF. Paint testing takes way longer than a 4 to 6 month CTF assignment.

However, if you wanted to test how many more people drooled over it compared to IOM for example...............................maybe

Yes.

I'm not saying that particular car is or isn't in the CTF and it really doesn't matter but they most certainly do test every single color available for the car. Although I highly doubt that the first 2010 Camaro body ever painted CGM is a customer car.

The next time you have Fbodfather's ear ask him about paint testing and matching issues during the 4th Gen's run.
