From what insiders have been saying for a while don't expect ANY concepts, except Camaro, from GM this year. Apparently they are being smart and not wasting money on things that won't be produced.
Charlie what are your thoughts on a RWD Pontiac Sedan? Production or otherwise?

I think GM wanted to probe the viability of building a car off of a cheap and available light truck platform. In the Bel Air's case GMT355. Bob Lutz even went so far to say that if Bel Air went into production, it would sell for about $20,000. Good deal for a RWD, 4/5 passenger, convertible....if you ask me.
I pissed on it pretty ruthlessly back then - both on public message boards and private communications - because I feared the potential for GM to say, Hey look kids, here's your new Camaro. Truck chassis and all.
I have a different perspective now. I think a cheap, relatively mechanically simple, GMT355 based, family of cars, including a wagon (Nomad?) would be pretty neat. That is - as long as it had nothing to do with my hallowed Camaro.

Just wanted to throw out this question.
Would anyone here buy a GMT355 based, Bel Air (convertible or hardtop) or Nomad for $18-$20K?
I could see a HUGE aftermarket for performance parts.
