Hint: The Bel Air was created at the last minute when another 'concept' was suddenly killed.......some had to be 'enlightened.'

What kind of gathering is planned for the evening of the 8th? Might be a good opportunity for Camaro enthusiasts to spend some informal "quality" time with some of the GM guys. Any chances on Bob Lutz, Ed Welburn, or even Rick Wagoner spending a hour or so?

My sportsbike analogy has to do with events that happened well after the Belair concept made it's rounds. Waaay afterwards.

A guessing game! My guess: they disassembled the Bel Air concept and used the chassis as the basis for the new Camaro.

there will be many people from both GM Design and Engineering as well as Chevrolet.....however, Messers Welburn, Lutz, and Wagoner will be at Cobo unveiling another GM car on Sunday nite.
Rest assured that the people you meet will be interested in what everyone has to say.
