Saleen Camaro Speculation

Re: Saleen Camaro Speculation
Back with my decision...It's pretty darned ricey to me...looks like something along the lines of the "invader" body kits that are available for various 4 bangers. Also, the foglights give it a "buck-toothed" look that I don't care for. If I had to replace them anywhere, it'd be in the lower openings to give it that mega-wide look at nighttime.

I too read in a thread that had been removed that Roush industries was looking to do a Camaro. They have a long quite history working with GM.
We sell Roush items at work and they the best out! You have to pay for them as they are pricey but I have always wished they did some GM stuff.

That's a nice job - though too extreme for my tastes. I'd def. tone it down quite a bit, esp. the front intakes - I'd be afraid of getting a few Raccoons nesting in there - but a nice chop. I even like the 3rd gen "Fat-Elvis" style rear wing (I don't generally like wings - I'm a spolier guy) that wraps all the way down to meet the trunk line.

I been doing research and the Saleen, has nothing to do with Camaro, they just are the keepers of the car. IF Scott can back me up on this. they know how to treat a one off very well and thats why the plates on the back of it.
Only watching over it for the Transformers movie...

This post may not be too far off from the truth - I stumbled across this photo gallery for the new transformer movie, and had read elsewhere that Saleen was doing the movie car - I thought it must be a misprint, but maybe not - check out the license plate!

Wow....someone found a way to screw up the 5th gen's good looks.
As for the engine choices, I don't think you've been paying ANY attention to the discussions going on here. Do some real research instead of just throwing out random numbers. This is like when car magazines keep saying the 5th gen will have an LS2 as the top engine choice when it comes out.

I don't want Saleen or Roush anywhere near this car. Those are Ford stables and they can have it. That's about as awkward as SLP selling Mustang parts now! It just doesn't sound right.

Re: Saleen Camaro Speculation
Why does this sound odd? I know many aftermarket parts are more akin to certain manufacturers (Ford/Saleen, Dodge/Hennessey, GM/SLP), but they aren't tied to them exclusively. If Saleen puts out a superb Camaro package, are you still going to snub them? I applaud any company creating packages and upgrades for us. It just means more options for us when the car arrives. I'm not fond of the chop, but it's a valiant effort. Nice job.
