Saleen Speculation 'Chop
Since Saleen loves to use the same basic "remember, we make the S7" body kit design for all their cars, I figured I would throw it on the Camaro to see what it looked like (along with the obligatory 7 spoke wheels):
I actually think it looks pretty good.
Of course, a lot could change in the next 2 years (especially now that Steve is out)....

Not bad at all. Now that Hancock Park Associates owns Saleen and I just read they bought the assets for American Specialty Cars. Who know what in the works for them.

i want nothing to do with a saleen camaro. he doesnt really do too much for the mustangs. yeah he puts a kit on it but thats about it and the only way to make power is to throw a supercharger on. steve saleen's work is rediculous.....great photoshop by the way. sorry i just cant believe how ignorant some people are!

Have you ever driven a Saleen car? Didnt think so. There's a lot more going on than just a body kit.
As far as your supercharger statement, how else would you like to make more power? A less reliable, finicky high-compression motor that's always under stress, or a supercharged motor that only sweats itself and its driveline when the pedal is mashed to the floor?
sorry i just cant believe how ignorant some people are!

Also, every car has to be smog legal, so blowers are by far the best bang for the buck option when it comes to hp (easy to install, easy to smog, easy to get big numbers, etc.). At least they took the time to make their own (which looks great BTW) and not just slap on an Eaton or Vortech.
Let's also not forget about the NA 302 Saleen motor in the PJ car -- 400hp/390tq from a 5L 3 valve I would say is making some descent hp without a blower.
That being said, I still think Saleens are far too overpriced.

You did a great job with that picture.
However, after what Saleen said about BumbleBee,
he can go straight to hell. I know he no longer
own/works for Saleen, but he shouldn't run his
mouth like that.
Yes, I am aware they did build BumbleBee.

Saleen does a pretty good job at suspension tuning as well.

and as far as the motor ...yeah i would rather have a motor built up to handle 500 hp than throw a supercharger on a 300 hp car and get it up to 400.

You're kidding right?

Well, Ford's modular 4.6L isn't exactly a match for GM's LS motors, now is it?
Besides, Lingenfelter isn't exactly cheap either. $8k for 90hp NA (link) and not smog legal or even available in CA.
Compare that to Saleen getting 130hp from its blower for about the same price and it is 50-state legal and it is easy to see why Saleen went FI.
