Sat in my first new Camaro!
I've been watching the 4 ish Chevrolet dealers in our area watching their inventory and what they have on hand. Seems they all have a V6.
We stoped at the local one by my S/o's Shop the other day since above all, we wanted to see an RS with Leather.
Sure enough, it was a 2LT RS in Silver with black leather and Auto. I was impressed that even the V6 has wider rear tires then the front and I believe it had the 20's. Either way, it was sitting outside on the curb. We both agreed the Silver is too bland for such a car and red/ orenge is a must for such a machine
The car dealer: I know this particular Chevrolet/ Cadillac dealer is on the chopping block and only a matter of time before they go out of business, Being that the car was unlocked I ducked inside to ask permission if I can sit in it, the sales guy, looking only slightly older then me (still looked under 30) was less then exciting He said go ahead, but watched me like a hawk. The Seats were GTO feeling, I love the 4 pack of gauges (that is a 2LT piece right) the head room was fine for 6'2" me, overall comfort was first rate in my opinion. Of course having owned a GTO I am spoiled with a nice rear seat and I couldnt ask anyone to reasonably sit back there. I did notice an above average large blind spot by the C piller, however, I believe like the 4th gen, you will learn how to compensate for the lack of vision in places.
Overall we liked it alot! I didnt get to start it but I would have loved to hear the 3.6L. (I had a Borla on my 3.8L so I know all too well what a bad exhaust on a V6 sounds like). And after having an LS1 GTO I think I'd have a hard time giving it up even for such an impressive V6.
The sales guy- Was a *****. Now I worked @ Saturn when the SKY came out so I know all too well what it is like to deal with tire kickers, dreamers, and general know it alls who just want to talk about cars, but I was always professional and assertive with all customers. This guy gave 1 word answers, had no name tag or said his name, no hand shake, no booklets, kept saying "what"?) I dont mumble or talk quiet in the least so he would be the last one getting my business.
I'm impressed with the car and cant wait to see the SS
