And to the guy that posted the two f-body transformers thanks, tha twas pretty cool. I'm glad thier deceptictons they always had cooler toys. IT's just funny they choose LS1's I guess if they were LT1's they would loose as soon as the opti sparks went out.

Re: Saw a fifth gen on the road!!!!!
were speculating...it has the GTO's guage clusters color matching to the exteriors face, and the seats are from a GTO. we are speculating. Its is either that or a Mustang reskinned. But we are leaning more to the GTO being reskinned now.

Why the complete interior mockup, if that is what it is?? Will there be extensive shots of the interior in the movie? That doesn't make sense either.

Re: Saw a fifth gen on the road!!!!!
doesnt anyone think that maybe they just used GTO gauges for mockup in a camaro because the camaro development isnt done yet? it takes a lot of time to whip up a set of electrical components for a car as well as seat testing. Maybe they just hit up the shelf for parts they could use, A la the GTO motor in the concept.

Maybe...it's hard to say... but it's wierd that they'd use the GTO gauges/overlay, and then put a Camaro Concept gauge bezel over them that is mis-matched to the GTO gauges....

How about this, maybe just maybe it's another real 5th gen built by GM. I wonder what the body panels are made out of? Fiberglass? Metal?

CJ, I have a question for you: You said the car you saw had side-to-side stripes, not front-to-back stripes. Either it was a different Camaro, or they did a paint job on it.
Was the car you saw the same color yellow as this one? And how many side-to-side stripes did it have?

This car is being used in the new Transformers movie being produced by Steven Speilberg. The clout Speilberg has, and the timing of the movie release in 2007, I'm going to say cjmatt might be right.
Those headlights look more 'production' than on the prototype..
To any designers in here btw, keep in mind that there are tall people on this earth. I love Trans Ams, and the last production year I was going to buy one, until I sat in it, and my knees were up in the dash. Seat was all the way back. Sad. Oh, and I asked, the dealer will not modify the drivers' seat at all for someone who is too tall for certain vehicles. Sucks to be tall. I'm damned to a life of SUV's... If a 6' 6.5" male can fit comfortably in one, I'll buy one. If not, I'm buying a Trailblazer SS, I love my '05 Trailblazer

Re: Saw a fifth gen on the road!!!!!
IT is made by GM even if Saleen is operating under a GM liscence. The car I'm sure is patented by GM so they can't replicate it without thier approval, even the lights, badges ETC are under GM so they need GM to support the car. I'm guessing the Camaro is a chopped up road version. It looks like jsut liek the Camaro concept becasue it is the camaro concept. Only thing is that it probably doesn't utilize anything other than the body. It's a Movie prop. There could be an lt1 under the hood, and any interior they deem fit for the movie scenes it need be in, and I'm sure there are plenty other replications fo the car made for different scenes in the movie. It's not a complete camaro it's just a shell for a movie. Either way I like.
