Re: Saw a fifth gen on the road!!!!!

One of the things that I noticed in the yellow Camaro's interior shot compared to the GTO's interior, was that the headlight switch (which is the same in both) in the Camaro appeared to be designed into the dash. What I'm getting at is that the interior looks to be too thought out to be a movie prop, what with the center console and door panels. I've seen some props before and this just seems too well executed to be just a prop. As someone on another board put it, it seems to of been "Holdenized" if you will.

And if Saleen doesn't want to talk about details of a "movie prop" , it makes me think there's something more to this.

I'm thinking that since the concept was designed with 22's in mind, maybe the smaller rims are making it look off center.

Does anyone believe this yellow camaro is on zeta?

Before specualtion too much on what "should fit/look right" keep in mind that a car company like Saleen can literlly do anything.

That car could be sitting on what started out as a 55 Chevy truck chassis for all we know.

That's like reskinning my 72 Lemans into a 72 Mustang, next to impossible to get it to look 100% like a Mustang. I don't think this car started out as a GTO at all, maybe Mustang, maybe built with the help of GM also.

Why the complete interior mockup, if that is what it is?? Will there be extensive shots of the interior in the movie? That doesn't make sense either.

simple what you can do with a saws-all and some tube framming cover it in 5th gen cloths and voila..5th gen TF prop..They could of torn the car down to its bare metal and refabed what they needed to..heck they could of cut the whole roof off the car.. The people behind this car are Dreamworks..Im sure they know how to make a pile of dogpoop look like gold, I mean look at what they did with the Saleens, j/k but you know what I mean..This car might be the one where the actor is in the car, gettin in and out of the car and so on..you get the dark tint to hide the fact that there are cars out there that have no interiors, or something else in them. kinda like gone in 60 seconds. those elonors, some were held together with bubblegum and string..
Hollywood does alot of things like that, remember the TV show VIPER, most of the prop vipers were powered by 318's and not viper engines.

and you summed up what I said in a short sentence, and to add to it like I said above..Dreamworks is in charge of the production of this car.

uhmmm...forgot again why he owes him $100.

Yes-- it's kinda obvious now that there is more out there than the Silver and red ones -- we aren't talking 'cause no announcement has been made about a movie.

NO -- the donor car is NOT a Mustang.
(God -- even the THOUGHT of that makes my skin crawl -- shame on ya whowever said that!)

Re: Saw a fifth gen on the road!!!!!

Sorry Scott, I actually did say it a few times. For the simple reason that its one of only a handful of cars that fit the same profile as the 5th gen is supposed to, but backed away when I started seeing the GTO cues in it. Also it has Saleen plates on it. Just makes you think it was made by saleen with what he knows to work with, the mustang.
Like I posted before, Hollywood has done it before. with the Night Rider movie where KITT gets the new Banshee body, well that was a reskinned Dodge Stealth at the time..

Nice. That settles it then. It also leaves open the possibility that the car CJ saw is a different car than the one in the pictures. CJ described the car as not having racing stripes, rather having side-to-side bumblebee stripes.

I think its clear by the "Yes-- it's kinda obvious now that there is more out there than the Silver and red ones" statement.

He didn't say there are the Silver and Red ones, and a couple of lookalikes. He simply said "more". I think we're trying to read too much into this.
