Saw a new Camaro on the freeway...

It pretty much looked like this...
Just a quick photochop...
I distinctly remember the tail lights. They had the "wrap" cut out in a way that it looked like 4 little squares (they pretty much are). Also, there were very generic wheels on it, nothing flashy or chromed out.

are you sure this isn't the car you saw?

After looking at the photos the FS3800 posted, I am confident that what I saw was a Dodge product. Is that the new Challenger???
Under camouflage, the Challenger and the Camaro definitely look similar, especially when it is going the opposite way on the freeway at 70 mph at 8:30 in the morning.
Sorry for the false hope everyone. I guess my "Camaro" sighting was just a lowly Mopar

Oh I am definitely telling the truth. I am 90% sure it was the new Camaro. At first it looked like a beat-up old '69 Camaro in the distance because of the black covering thing. Then once it got closer I realized what it was.
My drive to work has some interesting cars. I usually see the same black Viper ACR, and white Roush Mustang. There is also a new Viper SRT10 that comes out every once in a while, along with a Supra TT and yesterday I saw a DB7 Vanquish.
I'm going to start keeping my camera in my car just in case.

While the car does look a bit different, it is VERY much the same as the concept. Exterior wise. I don't think anyone here will be dissappointed at all.

Red Planet does not talk out of Uranus.
I am really starting to feel the Camaro is gonna be due for a mid cycle refreash by the time we can actually buy one. I know it is no ones fault...but it just seems like forever ago we found out what the car looked like...and we are still what...18 months from buying one? Reminds me of Ford, and the last T-bird.

That would be like saying the styling of the new Beetle...or current Mustang is timeless. It gets old after a while...or else GM would have just kept making 69 Camaro's
I love the car...don't get me wrong. I am just worried that by the time we can buy one...it will be yesterday's news to less "Camaro centric" people. How have new Beetle sales done anyway?

Just curious, why did Chevy restyle the Camaro almost every year when they first came out? I would've liked the '69 body style available for a couple more years, it would've been cheaper for me to restore one now

I agree with you - this car is timeless! My '99 TA looks great - but there are things I'd tweak. But no matter how much I look at the 5th gen (and it's lot since it's by background at work and home), I haven't thought of any tweaks at all. Every time I see it, it just looks better and better to me!
