well, its personal opinion right? were not going by a statistics 10. because we all know what the magazines and reviews have said and they clearly dont give it a perfect 10. if thats what your going by, then this thread is pointless. but i thought the question was asked what OUR opinion was on it?

I NEVER give anything a perfect score. There is ALWAYS room for improvement in EVERYTHING.
With that being said, I gave the Camaro a 7. There are some things that can be improved. Will that stop me from buying one? HELL NO!!

Would I perfer the car lighter, definately. Would I like it to handle like a ferrari but yet still sound like a Chevy small block? who wouldnt? Idealy if the car were a little smaller like an M3. Drove my brothers 335i and love it, doesnt have the small block power though.
Lighter would be nice, and to me I understand with the standards how hard it must be, aside from maybe the weight possibly lost just by bulk reducing the size. am impressed with the LS3 and think it is one of the best engines comapred to ANY. Another thing Id like is Direct injection, better suspension.
I dont think things like weight, handling and most things that could be improved are a result of decisions GM made other than rim size, vehicle size, engineering layout as in favoring style to practiacality and trunk vs hatch. Solid Rear vs Independent. For my tastes I agree with 90% of their decisions, and the stuff with room for improvement, I dont think they chose for instance to make the car heavier.
On a personal level... At this point my best hope may be a used Z28 if at all or possibly used C6 which are sweet but I dont know if I want another 2 seater... That is aside from my fathers 67 AC Cobra were building but thats not mine. I dont know if my group will still be employed at the end of the month which makes me question my own priorities... My buddy (ex coworker) bought an 05 Vette a few years ago. He gives me a hard time for not getting a Camaro sometimes but he recently found another job and is more stable... Damned if Im not a fan though.

id like to retract my previous statement of saying that the camaro is a 10 for me. i did some thinking and it wouldnt make sense for me to do anything to this car if i thought it were a 10. i feel that i am making it a 10. but if i had to say.......id make it an 8. there was some things i expected/wanted out of it and i have to do it on my own to get it to where i want it. maybe the things they will do to the z28 will put it closer to a 10 for me.

..........for the 10 millionth time.
Sorry Charlie -
Yes - there is room for improvement - there always will be.
I really wish you'd spend some time with those who own the car - I mean in person - for perhaps a day or so -- and listen to WHY they love the car...........

Your wish is granted! I think I spend a good deal of time hanging out with 5th gen owners. Many think that the car is the best damned thing since sliced bread. Nothing wrong with that, I'm happy for them and congratulate them on their purchase. I certainly wouldn't want to rain on their parade with my personal critiques.
