Seen the new Camaro today

At the Philly auto show...I unfortunately have to say that I was not impressed. The front end really bothers the **** out of me, The tires and rims are WAY to big...The shifter is fugly. I can barely look at it and say it's a Camaro even with that 400 hp motor. Now don't sit there everyone and start taking a **** on me...There are a ton of good points, The style is aggressive...exhaust is AWESOME, the back end of the car is NICE.

But overall

If I were to put my 95 Z28 against this new Camaro in terms of appearance, I'd take my 95 anyday.
Maybe it's just me...

Maybe it's because I'm a (ex) Pennsylvanian, but I share many of your thoughts. The Camaro and Challenger concepts were both in San Diego in December, and as far as visual impact, I like the Challenger. However, to each his own.

I can't believe I'm saying this....I actually prefer the looks of the new Mustang GT over the Camaro, I never thought it'd come to this.

It's going to be a hit. When I went to the auto show at D.C. the weekend before last people were eat'n it up. The crowd was 3 deep. Four or five times I heard people remark how it was better than the Charger concept. Kids and older folks just sat and stared.

It's not a hit with you and that's fine. 4th Gens are cheap, fast, fun, and plentiful.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but for someone to say they prefer the looks of a '95 Z28 over the new Camaro is like someone saying they'd rather eat a moldy dog turd than sink their teeth into a steak from Morton's.

I've tended to hold on to the older generation of cars too, but at some point, you start being "an old fart".

Besides, it going to be under 30K with a V8 and a backseat. I've riden in "new" Mustangs twice now, and it's like a 1st gen fbody for room (not!).

Let go brother. I'm sure that you 95 was strange when you left the 78.....

I disagree, but then again, i dont really care for the 93-97 front ends.. I Love my 01 z, but to me the best gen is the third.. i think it will remain so with the 5th being out, but who knows, i could really fall in love with the 5th once im able to drive them and what not.. only time will tell. As for outside appearance, I like the 3rd better so far.. but thats not saying I dont love the 5th... because i do. just nothing to me beats a 3rd gen droptop.. nothing.. Not even my 3rd hardtop, or my 1st gen RS.. Nothing.
