Refuse Camaro Markups!
That is absolutely appalling that a dealer would charge that much over sticker. For a 1LT no less.
Just keep looking around. There are plenty of dealers around who are selling at MSRP.

Dealer wanted $5000 over sticker just to order 2SS. Went to another dealer 30 miles away and ordered inferno orange 2SS black interior, black stripe, man tranny with no dealer mark-up. No wonder GM wants to get rid of some dealers

That is an absolutely insane markup, but there's not much GM can do about it. A dealer is an independent business. GM sets a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail price, but unfortunately they can't make the dealers sell them at that price. They set their own prices.
Hopefully everyone will refuse to pay and markups will go away.

Where in Alabama are you? I am in P'cola, FL so it might not be a bad drive for me to get there.
