EllwynX, long door sure are a pain in the *** in parking lots. My 69 is a lot easier to manage than my 85 in that category. Also, long overhangs, to me, are a monumental rectal rip! I constantly have to be careful with my IROC. Not a problem with the 69 and it makes driving it in certain situations much more pleasurable, even though it doesn't handle nearly as well. Hopefully the 5th gen will solve all of these problems. Lighter, shorter doors, SHORT overhangs, and handling like it's on rails!!

Guy, I've wondered about this myself every time you post how the Trans Am name is dead due to GM having to pay for the name. Didn't GM just tack that on to the price of the car? And if so, why not just do it again? Now other than artificially jacking up the price of a car simply because of the name, I don't see a problem with it. And, if Trans Am was an option or up level model, that cost could be charged once you check off the Trans Am option. Seems simple to me?

Grocery shopping wasn't a problem at all, the trunk held plenty. And if I needed more room I'd utilize the back seats as well. I mean, who's going out grocery shopping with 4 people?

I always got asked about the 'hump'. But I never understood it. Who cares? Who puts their feet up that close to the seat? I always have mine extended, thus the hump was a complete nonentity for me in the passengers seat. And when I did put my foot up there on occasion, again, who cares? It wasn't a big deal. It's not like you had to SIT on the hump.

Regarding the supposed 'convenience' of the Aveo at Wal Mart? Unfortunately, I now drive one of those cursed put put mobiles (LOL Ok, it's not THAT bad a little car, but it's no Camaro.) and it's not all that more convenient than the Camaro was. Rear seats don't have much more room, and that 'more room' is maybe an inch or two of legroom only.

Only thing more 'convenient' is the four doors for passengers (I hope I never own another 4 door car, I hate it) and the shorter doors. But, as someone mentioned somewhere before, when the front windows are down on those short doors I get blasted in the head with air. Gimme the 4th Gen's long doors and windows that actually channeled the wind BEHIND me. Not to mention, setting your arm on the windowsill when the glass is down isn't as comfortable when you have the back of the door so close to you.

Some complaints I hear about the 4th Gens are the things I liked about them... Gimme long doors anyday.
I quit smoking thank God, but the easiest way to ease up the wind into your head in a 4 door is to roll the rear window down a little.

thus the need for roll down 1/4 windows. The Benefits of a long open space plus some length and height without the drawbacks of long heavy doors.

Yeah, I have learned that...

And opening the sunroof helps slightly.

But I like to sit with my arm on the windowsill or out the window when it's nice out. And even with the rear windows down I still get blasted.

But that's what I get for the sacrilige of trading my '02 Camaro for an '05 Aveo Sedan... ::hangs head low::

I WILL make up for that when the new Camaro Z28 comes out.

I do hope they can come up with a way to have TTops AND keep the windows as is. I REALLY miss my TTops.
