Thank you Scott, for everything.

Too bad the NastyZ28.com guys are not as pro 5th gen as you all are around here. I have a hard time defending the 5th gen over there.

Re: some thoughts for August 10, 2006.....

you have to remember that is a 2nd gen site. Most of those guys over there are total purest on the 2nd gen. which is ok. TGO is the same way, if you say something that is not 3rd gen related you are in hot water

I am also on there & post everyonce in a while, But keep quite over the fact that I am a 3rd & 4th gen owner & soon to be a 5th gen owner as well.

Yeah, I guess you are right. I spend lots of time over there, too much probably, but sometimes they say things that are incorrect and unfounded, almost hurtful to all the people who put so much work, and love, into the 5th gen. That's it, I guess.

sometimes misinformation gets out like we have seen even on this site. so they believe what is said. If one of us were to go over there to correct them we will be in the wrong printing out wrong information even if we were to put a link the the right.

its oh well let them beleive what they wish.

As moderator of the History forum at TGO, in it's defense, the tech forums are just that....Technical. We don't have a lounge and the website is 3rd gen only. Nothing against the 5th gen, it just doesn't pertain.

Thanks Scott. The wife wants a Pace Car Camaro!!! What can you come up with? Again, it needs to be like the 82 or 93 in that it can't be easily cloned or duplicated. Parts, like seats, will need to be available in the parts dept. should you need to get them!

Re: some thoughts for August 10, 2006.....

I never lost faith, but now that it is official, I am very very happy. I was floored that Rick W actually drove the concept at the dream cruise, that was a way cooler stamp of approval than I had ever hoped for.

I think the concept looks great.

I like the fact that it will be built in a high quality plant.

I dont mind however long it takes to hit the streets.

My congrats and sincere thanks to all that contributed to the Camaros rebirth, especially of course to Scott S, who did a great job of telling us things without actually telling us things.

To them, I say “we need to do it right -- we’re starting with a clean sheet of paper.” Unlike others, we’re NOT going to take a hallowed nameplate and stick it on an existing architecture that does not deserve to have such a nameplate. For those of you who don’t -- please-- start using them -- and that includes each and every person in the vehicle with you at ALL times. We want you around so that we can watch you enjoy your new Camaro.
Well since nobody ever saw you standing in the unemployment line most figured all was not lost

seatbelts. I quite wearing one back when they changed the tensioners so that they could not be adjusted. The only time I ever wear one is in my bird when I know I am going to push it past the limit.

My gf is an ER surgeon, and according to her, morons like you keep the auto accident mortality rate too high. I wouldn't really care, but my insurance rates are raised.
