There are 2 or 3 that I see in the parking garage every morning down here in Houston.

I've only seen a couple Camaros on the streets this winter (on the northside of The Chi). I've seen about as many Challengers as Camaros though. I see a lot of Mustangs around and about. A lot.

Well Charlie..I think over time we have learned you are not an example of the "average" person when it comes to cars.

Agreed. You could probably add "manual transmission" to that as well...

I didnt read all the replies, so maybe this was brought up, but one huge reason you haven't seen any (at least SS's) is because GM felt it wasn't needed to even OFFER an all-season tire on the SS model either standard or optional. They all come only with summer only tires... or at least that was the case a few months ago if something has changed, which I doubt.

Hey, we're neighbors. I grew up near O'hare, on the northwest side of Chicago. Now I live about 20 minutes west of O'hare in the western suburbs.

The car I saw BTW, was in the Downers Grove area.

Probably not the same one, then.

I agree that I think this is a big mistake on GM's part. I've seen people getting less than 15000 miles out of their ss pirelli tires. GM cant offer a handling package (at least for the moment) but they can have summer only, very short wearing tires?

FWIW, I see about the same amount of v6 camaros around as I did before the winter.

Well I think this obviously proves once and for all that the 5th gen is a huge failure for GM.

Come down to Texas. I see at least 2-3 everyday, and no, I don't drive by any Chevy dealers on my daily commute.

I never thought this thead was about the car being a failure

With 62K sold so far, that's only 1,200 PER STATE. The chances of seeing one regularly will be pretty low for another year or two. The "new" mustang has been out since 05 and has sold probably 6-800,000 cars in that time?

Food for thought.

I wonder what Camaro SS's handling would be like without the benefit of super soft, sticky, summer only tires and with A/S tires instead? Not pretty, I'd imagine.
