Of THESE three engine options, which would you pick?

Of THESE three engine options, which would you pick?
Sorry, but after reading so much about who would buy what, including women, I thought I'd put up a poll on these three engine types. Forgive me for not having all the necessary info, but I'm far from being a techie when it comes to engines. Sorry if this poll offends you in some other way, too.
And yes, I know I probably don't have nowhere near the right numbers, but please vote just for arguments sake.
Plus I know this only shows us here, not the general public, but oh well, this is the best we can do, I guess.

I don't think its a bad poll at all, but i think price will have a MASSIVE part of my engine choice. if that 400hp engine costs middle to low 30K, then i have no chance, but if it debuts in the 20K area, then who knows........

I am gonna go with my gut, and say choice #1 is going to pull ahead pretty strong, given some time for this poll to circulate. There are alot of lurkers here, and this is a performance oriented website.

LandonElf, you're right; I should have included pricing, although I'm a bit hesitant to do that. If I had done it, I would have liked to have put
V6 comparable to Mustang V6, NOT lower
mid-V8 comparable to Mustang GT, NOT lower
higherlevel-V8 hmmm.. that's tough! What would you guys/gals suggest, around 35 grand?
Okay, take off a bit if you believe it will be lower than the 'stang, but personally I don't see how that's gonna happen. That's JMHO, though.

well you HAVE to assume that you are NOT gonna get 400 hp for less than 30K in alything!
with that said- 400 hp camaro in the low to mid 30's- I will have one!

I don't believe with the cost of moderate cars that any 400 hp beast will be less than 30,000. I mean- even the Mustang GT(with 100 less ponies) is 26000 without leather...over ~30 with it. If GM builds a 400 hp Camaro it will have all the trimmings.

Interesting poll, but I think it'll be unrealistically biased towards the most powerful engine.
Sure, most people will say 400hp+, but when it comes down to it, a lot of them won't buy the top dog for one reason or another.
Once you start taking into account insurance, a lot of younger guys are going to opt for the lower engine. When I was selling both my 95 Z28 and later my 01 SS, I had A LOT of interest from younger guys until they saw they couldn't afford the insurance AND payments.
Hell, once you start figuring the cost of a new car AND whatever the extra cost would be for a top dog V-8, it just won't be affordable to some people. When I was 18 (or even 28 for that matter) I would have voted for the top engine also, but in NO WAY would I have been realistically able to buy one.
Yeah, I'll be watching the poll, but I don't think it will tell you a whole lot on what people would realistically buy.
.......just my opinion of course

ANOTHER poll that would be interesting would be after the Camaro comes out, to see who truly buys the Camaro that they stated they would buy!

Re: Of THESE three engine options, which would you pick?
I as well voted for the top dog. I'm also hoping there is a mid-level 400hp and a top dog 400+hp motor. With that said, that would deff change the outcome of this poll.

Re: Of THESE three engine options, which would you pick?
Im sure there are some people out there that vote for the top dog but wont be able to afford it. I know if i was not setting money aside this early in the game so i can have a very big down payment, then i would probably not be able to afford the big motor. Figure $50 to $100 buck a week set aside will add up in the 2 or 3 years it wil take to get it on the road.
just some food for thought.
