are they gonna produce enough to keep up with demand!

I work in the plant that will be making the new Camaro. We were told that we will be making 100,000 Camaros BEFORE other product is introduced to the new flex plant.. Recaro seat are the front seats that will be in ALL Cameros . Take this to the Bank!!

I remember when working in another branch of government that one way to spot a phony birth certificate is when it had a misspelled word in it.

And since you seem to be a wealth of information on this subject, may i ask how you aquired this knowledge you so eloquently speak of.

When the production of the Camero Stopped in Quebec workers from that plant were allowed to relocate to the Oshawa plant. Yes some made the move.I did not realize that so many school teachers were monitoring this site for spelling.Have a Great Day!

GM was hesitant to build the Camaro, but now that they are I think we all have good reason to beleive that they are not stupid business people. They are #1 for a reason arent they? They wouldnt build it if they didnt have some sort of notion that it was going to sell...and it will sell. They pay people to specifically analyze the market for possible buyers, and from what I hear, that market is looking pretty good...especially considering that the Camaro already has a cult following.
That said, I do hope the new Camaro is a hit,

#1 Check typical times. Find out what the lead time is for any other new car. If a 2007 Grand Prix or Mustang started taking orders 2 months before production, the same will hold true with Camaro.
#2 I don't understand the direction or thinking behind your question "Will they have enough?" They are going to make enough to barely meet demand, while no so much that if demand slacks they are stuck with excess cars and capacity. Exactly as is the target with every single other car currently made by every single other manufacturer on the planet earth.
Not a flame to you or anything like that, but the lack of any really new Camaro info is really making for some really less-than-well-thought-out questions here.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING. ITS A WONDER THEY ARE EVEN STILL IN BUSINESS. they used to be a market leader and dominator, they continue to loose marketshare, always playing catch up and have been flirting with bankruptcy for a while now. I am not sure this **** poor company could have been run any worse.
That said, I do hope the new Camaro is a hit,

Are you talking about worldwide or in the US market specifically? Plus what evidence do you have to support this assertion? Don't get mad at someone for calling you out when you don't supply figures... it is only natural.

What do you mean evidence? Are you telling me that you didnt know that General Motors is in the number one spot for US market...the most important market for Camaro sales as it is? And yeah, I am kinda mad for that guy being so pessimistic about GM staying sturdy. Im allowed to get mad when someone takes what I wrote previouslly completely out of context. I tried to express my faith in GMs decision making, and they HAVE made some pretty good decisions as of late. What figures do you want me to produce that isnt already well known? Yeah, GM has lost marketshare, but it doesnt mean that they are going to drown. Five years ago, all I ever saw or heard about were Japanese cars (toyota) and lately most of what Ive been hearing about is the revival of the Big Three. So you guys can keep your numbers, because GM has expressed what they are planning to do, and there are a few spy shots to prove it. Figures are down (yet not out) now because GM has not completed its revamping, which will take another two or three years. Its pessimism like what Im hearing above that makes success less likely. So yeah, I get mad about that kind of thing. This isnt about figures anyway, its about morale...its about still rooting for your team when they are down by twelve points at half time. Come on guys, try to cheer them on a little bit. Lutz has great ideas that Im very enthusiastic about...the Camaro being one of them. And NAIAS '07 will only push them further. You know, Im sure you are not gonna like me for being so bull headed, but seriouslly Im rabid about General Motors like people are rabid about football. I get emotional.

GM is number one for unit sales in both the US and the world. In the US they have about 25% marketshare and are in no danger of being overtaken in the foreseeable future. Worldwide its marketshare is about 14% and is just barely ahead of Toyota. Most observers expect Toyota to overtake GM worldwide before the end of this decade.
