It's difficult to tell but I'm not that impressed with either so far. The V8 sounds like its backfiring on decel and the V6 is way too high pitched, like a ricer or something.

I'm dying to hear the V8 under full load. And I'm quite impressed with the V6 sound dont know why people keep saying it sounds like a ricer.

Probably because it kinda does. My L98 and 2.8 V6 cars had a "meaner" stock sound with significantly less power. Gotta see better clips and hear in person. Not expecting much though.

Agreed. My 03 Monte 3.4 with Borla has a deeper growl.

Much better sound quality and he also got the car accelerating WOT
Either way I think both v6 and v8 owners will be verrry happy with their stock exhaust sounds.

Here's a good comparison video of V6 sound for the LT Camaro.

Neither has/had any growl whatsoever in my opinion. The 3.6L has almost twice the power of the 3.4 though lol

I must agree. It didn't sound as throaty as I was expecting.

Not sure cause there aren't enough camera phone videos of Challengers and Mustangs around, but speaking from a technical standpoint camera phone technology loses quite a bit of resolution audibly speaking below a certain frequency and might not be the very best source to judge the exhaust note of the SS. Just an observation.

I've got a sub on the machine at home and it sounded great....I tried to play it at work for some people with just a set of powered speakers attached and it sounded horrible. I think you've got to have some decent low end sound to hear it well.
