Thoughts on the concept from the ft. lauderdale show....
Went down to the ft. lauderdale show auto show today and like everyone else has said, if you dont like this car SEE IT IN PERSON!
I was already a fan of the car to begin with, but man that thing is mean and aggressive looking in person. It was on a stage with two turntables on it, the Camaro was on one and the Z06 was on another. One onlooker said "wow, the Camaro looks like it wants to kill the Corvette sitting next to it"
I was also expecting to be shocked by the width of it but honestly, it didnt strike me as being ultra wide (at least to the naked eye anyway). And the preportions of the car are nice and tight. And another thing that shocked me was the interior. I was iffy on it before, but now I actually LIKE IT Talk about a turnaround.
All in all, a sweet looking car in person and it seemed to have a crowd around it the whole day, which was cool since this was the first day of the show and there werent a whole lot of people there to begin with.
On a sidenote:
Met this really cool guy from the South Florida F-body Association with a twin turbo SS. REALLY nice car (just about 500hp at the wheels) and real nice guy. It you're on here man (never got his name) nice ride!

What other cars big cars are there? I'd like to see the Challenger and the Saab.

I was kinda disappointed that none of the exotic marques were there because I wanted to see the Mieora (sp?) concept from Lamborghini and some other notable manufacturers werent there, including Audi and Porsche

As to the Camaro: I liked it in photos. My brother did not. In person, I wanted to order one right there. It is perfect as it sits. Don't change a thing. Take it to my local dealer and slap a for sale sign on it. It was absolutely stunning.
My brother hated it in photos. He's a 3rd gen and 4th gen fan through and through. After saying "Oh my God!" several times, he was completely hooked.
Good job to all involved.
Now...please make it!

I wasn't able to attend the event due to working that morning. But the car is perfect in my eyes. I can't count the number of times I heard "Will they build it?"

But after looking it over a few times, it appeared the front seats were all the way back which would give the appearance of no room in the rear seat. But the way the front seats were positioned, a driver wouldnt even be able to reach the gas and brake pedals but I guess they didnt see that....

In one memorable comment, regarding a picture of the concept sitting next to a ZL1 1st gen Camaro, PacerX remarked that the car looks like if " anyone left the room, it would eat it (the ZL1)".
