yeah those stripe need to be an inch wider on each side. and in my opinion, make the gap in between the stripes smaller.

Wider on the outside, an 1"-1 1/2" on each side.

Anyway you could ask someone from GM for the dimensions on the concept's strips so owners could replicate it?

Wouldn't painted stripes last longer than vinyl stripes?

Absolutely, but there are two factors to consider...cost and the permanent nature of paint.

Well if we're going for historical accuracy...

http://books.google.com/books?id=PkY...num=3#PPA93,M1

1969 Z/28 rear deck stripes were spaced further apart than the hood stripes, and further than rear deck stripes in 1967-8.

For the Tom Henry Camaro above, IMHO the stripes need to be wider (especially on the hood) but not necessarily spread further apart.

you have to remember too. if you put decals on, the paint is going to be faded around it if you ever take them off. so both painted/ decal stripes have a type of permanentness to them.

how much are the decal stripes 250 from gm? to get it painted on would only be around 4-500. and you can get them done however you want. ive always been a fan of painting more than decals.

other than the roundness of the corner, they are the same.

I would say make the width changes and your set! those are HOT and just what the aftermarket needed.

For me, the concept's stripes are the best.
