Torch red coming?

I just saw that Victory red is being dropped from the C6 this year, in favor of a return to Torch red. Has anyone heard any buzz about the Camaro following suit? Main reason I ask is that wifey is considering red, but she likes darker reds. Precision would have been best, but Victory will work too, but Torch is way too bright for her. I'm hoping for her to pick red, as I don't want to have ANOTHER white Camaro (3rd one ), though it's her car so she can get what she wants.

I have no idea about them change the shade of red for either the Corvette or the Camaro. My question though is, I would assume that that would change the Red Jewl Tint coat as well. Basically meaning that it would be a different shade or not even have it at all. That's the color I'm kind of set on for whenever I order one.

It kind of does, just because they are different shades of red.

There's nothing in changing the Corvette to Torch Red that would predicate changing the Camaro to Torch Red. Now, if the Impala were changing to Torch Red, that would be a different story.

Since the Camaro is already a 2010, I'd assume they'll run the same colors until at least the 2011 MY, if not longer. Seems like changing to Torch Red would require quite a bit of rejiggering of the paint lineup since you'd then have both a reddish orange (Inferno Orange - albeit metallic) and an orangey red (Torch Red) in the palette.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Victory Red will be available on Camaro for another year or so at the very least.

the only way to tell a difference is when they are side by side. if the 2 colors were no where near each other , there would be no way to tell them appart.reds, red. maroons, maroon.

With torch and victory, you can very much tell a difference. Torch is MUCH brighter than victory.

GM has for the most part kept the reds the same between the Camaro and Corvette (meaning both have either a bright or dark red). C6 debuted w/ Precision red, but was replaced mid-year w/ Victory, mainly because precision was deemed too dark and there was a demand for a brighter red. The Camaro uses the same Victory red now. But w/ the Corvette going to torch, I wonder if Camaro will follow. Frankly, I think the car would look great in a brighter red, but wifey wont get it.

One good thing is that I don't think Impala would look good in Torch, so I'd THINK that the Camaro would be fine. But if for some reason a mid season change is coming for the Camaro, like it did on the '05 vette, I want to know asap so we don't lose out on a chance for a VR Camaro.

I've always been a fan of Torch Red. It's just brighter and fits the Vette better IMO. I think it would be great on the Camaro.

thats why i said they had to be side by side to see the difference. if they were not and someone who isnt looking for a certain shade of red, they are going to look the same. its freakin red.
