Tracking your car on the railroads

Here's a link to a spreadsheet that a fellow Camaro enthusiast built. He works for one of the railroads and therefore has access to what the rail companies ship.
You can find VINs and what railcar a particular car is in, where that railcar is and when it's scheduled to arrive at it's distribution center. It's really cool.

Mods, feel free to move this to a more appropriate place if this is not it.
Could it be stickied?

The owner updates it once or twice a day.
He works for CN (I think).
If the car hasn't been shipped, it won't be on the list.
If the car went by truck, it won't be on the list.
If the VIN gets into the U.S. (& transferred to a U.S. company) before he has a chance to see what railcar it's in, it won't be on the list.

So there will be some holes.

The red highlighted rows have already been off-loaded at the distribution center.

Well, they shut him down.
The railroads threatened him with legal action if he continued to supply Camaro enthusiasts with this info.
So it's done.

Sorry folks.

That is a big bummer! I looked often to see when cars were being brought into my area. Now I do not have a clue. Still waiting for mine RS/SS LS3
Black/Black Orange Inferno 6 speed I am a baby boomer wanting my Camaro.
The railroad guy was just helping America's waiting for their special baby.
We give him a big That a Boy for all his help!
