Surprise, surprise!
You are looking at Bumblebee #3!
This Bumblebee was the original Silver "Foam" model that was sent to Australia for the Engineering team to use. It traveled to several international shows -- then was shipped to China for a show there -- where someone really did a poor job painting him!
We brought him back to GM Design -- and had him stripped and repainted in the true Bumblebee Color (which, by the way is called "Sunrise" and is manufactured by Valspar......)
That's why his paint job is perfect -- and why he has a set of aluminum wheels........

Philly Auto Show
Posting this here so FBF see it... Any chance that at the upcoming Philly Auto I could get a chance to sit in the Convertible? Will it help if I bring my 2010 Camaro deposit with?
Not really sure if these requests go unanswered, but I figure... Its worth a shot right?!?!
Got to say, the NAIAS was kind of a let down with no Camaro this year, but I guess we gotta let the Vette have a day in the spotlight!

Would that be a projector I see in the headlight? Maybe HID? In the movie it looked like a plain halogen bulb and no projector housing. The other concepts have been LED's I think. Playing around in photoshop they are different and unlike all the rest from what I can tell.
Bumblebee
Silver Concept from DC last year

Good eye! I thought I was good at picking out details....

bumblebees headlights are like one solid lens, which is probaly going to be closer to production than the little projector ones the concept has, the lens looks way better as one solid piece with a shiny surface... me likey alot!

Bumble Bee is scheduled for D.C. next week!!! I'll be there!!
I LOVE the paint scheme on this car.
I saw the Concept at D.C. last year and was blown away. It had a huge crowd of people around it. So much better in person. I can't wait for a repeat this year.
Scott, tell the folks at GM to keep working hard! I'm rooting for them and look forward to the BEST Camaro yet!
