Chevrolet in the UK are now taking orders for the Camaro coupe & convertible; the coupe is GBP 34,995 and the convertible is GBP 39,995. Auto is GBP 1500 more. The base pre-tax price is GBP 28,283 = US$ 45,000 or so. It looks like they are based on the 2SS specification -only the V8 is being imported here.

The UK tax costs are quite high - for the coupe it is:

So a substantial uplift to the UK prices. I bought a new Z28 in 1999 and that cost me around GBP 21,500 - I would like a new Camaro but not at these prices...
