What American accent do you have?
I'm going to admit I don't even understand this one-

15. If you say words like TIME, RIDE, MILE, I, etc., we all know that there`s a way people down South say those words. Don`t lie about it, how often do you ever say those kind of words like that?

But I got Mid-Atlantic (Also known as a "Philadelphia accent" but also heard in south Jersey, Baltimore, and thereabouts.)

Interesting since most in my area don't sound different than anyone on any TV show (well, except obvious accents like southern and that nails down a chalkboard Boston accent).

Most of the two word comparisons should be pronounced differently. Thought and Lot? Nothing alike.

There are many different accents in other areas of the country, being born and raised in VA there are at least four different accents in this state alone (southern VA, western VA, central VA, and Eastern Shore). And having lived in Manhattan, I can tell you that north eastern NJ accents are nothing like the "Philadelphia accent" in your area. When I lived in the Atlanta, GA area my accent was considered "northern". Tennesee is very different from VA, GA, or AL/MS, everywhere I've visited/lived has had a different accent. Check how different the Outer Banks of NC accent is from the others in NC (of which there are a few). Same applies to other countries, my mother was from Germany, I learned to speak the southern German dialect, when I went to Germany I could barely understand the north Greman dialects. Oh well, I guess some would rather argue about how Camaro should be pronounced rather than worrying about how the fifth gen. Camaro will actually turn out (and I think it will be good!).

Not to continue this any further. BUT I saw the first Camaro commercial ever to play on TV on Chevy Nation today.

Being the 'First Camaro Commercial' I have to say that would make however they pronounced it the definitive pronunciation.

And they say it many times during the commercial. Every one of them, the same way I have argued it's supposed to be pronounced.

I like some of the GM slogans they have.

"Two Wishes Left" with Camaro in the foreground
"Heaven Just Couldn't Stand The Noise"
I like the Legends Never Die

To pretentious, reminds me of a local BMW ad which says the same thing but in my mind screams LOSER all the way.

To bad its cliche' and GM has used it before, but I think Magic Carpet Ride would have worked really well with a catchy phrase in an ad.

Camaro-Life, liberty, and the pursuit of excitement.

The new Supercharged 6.2L 505 hp V8 (or whatever ci and HP) Camaro because size does matter.

With 436 hp (or 300 hp V6)and an EPA rated 32 mpg HWY...now you can have your cake and eat it too. The new Camaro.

With your choice of a 300 hp V6, 436 hp V8, and a 505 hp supercharged V8 the only question that remains is: How badly do you want to humiliate your competition in the next lane? *insert clip of Camaro launching at a drag strip*. The new Camaro by Chevrolet.

Random fact #243. Camaro drivers don't need energy drinks. *Clip of Camaro drifting sideways in slow motion in background that speeds up once the random fact text disappears*

300 hp V6. 436 hp V8. 505 hp S/C V8. Its never been so much fun to smoke the competition. The new Camaro by Chevrolet.
