unibody or not?

first time poster, long time lurker...

this is one question that i havent really seen the answer spelled out.

is the new camaro going to be a unibody car like all previous, or will it feature a full frame? im assuming the latter based on the engineering sketches, but im not really sure.

thoughts?

Oh, sorry I thought he was nationwide. He's pretty known over here. He's a talk show host and a lot of callers say "Long time listener, first time caller."

Um.......
You say you're assuming a full frame based on engineering sketches.

Can you name a single all new full framed car that's come out since the late 1970s?

Or better yet, can you name a single full framed Camaro that GM's ever made?

Re: unibody or not?

There hasn't been a body on frame car in a long time that I know of. Too heavy!

Without the sarcastic response quoted above....the car will be built with a unibody structure. There hasn't been a full framed car out of GM for quite some time.

No it didn't C4 was a unibody 'birdcage' C5 has frame rails that are an integral part of the unibody structure, or a space frame.

well i guess im wrong i could have sworn it had a frame but i cant find any pictures of one so ill have to say u are right.

by the way the birdcage does not refer to the fact that its a unibody. it is the steal structure that helps support the fiberglass body
