Upgraded paint process ? ?

I heard some chat "in the pipeline" that with a certain Cadillac being produced in Oshawa, there will be some improvements in the painting area.

"Cadillac Quality paint" means a better process.

What's this mean, and why am I babbling about it? Because the Camaro more than likely benefit from this...so Cadillac quality paint on your Camaro. Cadillaro even? Sorry, I had to!

Before I get yelled at, this is not "official" GM news, and everything at GM is "*subject to change.." ...but if this does happen, I'll be glad to say "I told you so"

and I for one, likes to see improvements and enhancements on the Camaro!

Maybe I need to hold off on my convertible until they start producing the Caddy in Oshawa.

I am rather happy with my paint quality, but I do know that it could get even better. Nice to hear!

Darn it, my car gets built on Tuesday this week...

Jason, did you end up doing any clear decals, or anything else for that matter, on your paint?

I wouldn't sweat it, your paint is likely to be pretty decent.

Nope, but mine is far from a daily driver.

Nah, I'm not too worried. Would you say better/same paint compared to the 4th gen?

I see lots of Camaros in my travels for Chevrolet.

I haven't seen any that exhibit subpar paint.

I doubt there is any big difference today. They already are using a fairly modern system to paint the Camaros. About the only thing they could do to possibly improve upon the quality is to hand buff every car, and I don't even think they do that for Cadillac currently, do they?

well....

They haven't given us the green light yet, there's a few problems that need to be addressed still, but I'm sure we'll know soon....
