Now here's the kicker, what if the 2nd year upgraded engine is just some new heads and/or cam? An easy swap. So if that were the case, would you kick yourself for waiting an extra year and not being able to enjoy a new camaro?

If I waited an extra year, only to find out that in 2010 i could have done a H/C on my 09 and had the same power.....I'd be kicking myself.
Neither get the 2010 Mustang GT it will be totally redesigned, guaranteed to look even more evil and bada&* then the new Camaro, the S197 chassis will be totally dialed in being a few years old, and ford's developing two new engines for it from a 5.8-6.2 and that not including the next shelby's,saleens or roush's. And or you could just by a used
GT500 by then if you want crazy factory power.

uh this is camaro z28.com correct? I mentioned the 2010 Mustang GT since it may look and perform better then the new Camaro by that time or get a used GT500 as an alternative instead of waiting till 2010 for a more powerful camaro hence why I said neither, If I was to buy a new Camaro I'd wait a year for the Z28 to come out though

well the subject was the camaro, not the mustang. You think the prices on the GT500 will drop enough by then? LOL. And even guessing that the stang will perform better when its 3 years away is pretty presumptuous. Looks are totally subjective too...

I really dont think GM can really afford to pull that sort of stunt with the engines in the first year. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm not taking a side on whether thats true or not, but it is a bold statement for them to make.
It wasn't the 70's or 80's anymore when the last Camaro was made.

There were still somethings that GM has been doing with models that have came out in the last few years that make me happy to know they extended their warranties to 5 years.

For example, anyone that owns a GTO knows about strut rub, the 2004 owners know about the driver side fuel rail cover cutting the fuel line, all year owners should have heard about the ignition cylinders locking, etc... Don't forget this was a car that had these issues even in 2006.

What is the GM of 2008 ~ 2009 going to be doing that will make it significantly different from the GM of 2006 ~ 2007?
