Way to go GM...

it looks very sedate compared to the Mustang and Challenger, bland, blah - I think they need to step it up to stay in the race - hopefully they aren't thinking that stuffing a huge motor in it will make up for the so-so looks

guys you realize that rear shot is by mistake and probably the guy taking the pic did not think he was going to be so close to a Camaro and used a wide angle lens while capturing it. This making it look all distorted. Its the camera fooling the eye. Dont worry that rear is not as butt ugly as that lens made it out ot be

You can make an IROC-Z or a WS6 look terrible with a bad photographer.

It is ok with the exception of the tiny headlights and it is going to be a bitch to see when backing up out that flat rear window. I also think the rear end is pretty wierd.
I too though will reserve my final judgement for when I see it in person.
Over all though I am afraid that GM will mess with the style and it will be released with a more bland approach. It has taken way too long to release it and the price of gas will be $4+ and it will not be the greatest on fuel making it unattractive to the masses.
Although I am not a Ford guy they have always been a lot smarter than GM or Chrysler when it came to surviving and leading the pony car market. They knew when it was time to make power and when it was time to make just enough power to satisfy but keep the price reasonable and their car appealling.

not a fan much at all but i'll hold off until i see the released version first hand. there's plenty of vehicles i didn't care for in pre-release form and then ended up liking and vice versa.
i just flat out hate this retro styling trend and the avenue everyone seems to be taking towards all out fat, bloated cars. plus, with the exception of the G8, i'm still no fan of most domestic styling.
i guess i'm the rarity in which i don't care about all the b.s. creature comforts when it comes to my "fun car". give me adequate a/c, maybe power windows and a radio and i'm all set. i'll give up nav, heated seats, 18 airbags and everything else in order to save 500lbs on my fun car. less is better in my book but in the age when more determines your status i can't fault them too much. just pisses me off the the type of vehicles that more draw my interest are purely dominated by the import market (namely european) and i see zero offerings from this side of the pond to ever sway me away.
